About Us

Our Members
The majority of our members live within a mile’s radius of the club, which sits at the corner of the Recreation ground in Rowledge.

Our Green
The green was opened in June 1937, when a match between teams consisting of members of the Rowledge Bowling Club, Farnham Ladies Club and Farnham UDC had to be abandoned because it was so wet. We pride ourselves in being self sufficient. Our four rinks are maintained by our hardworking green keeper and his team of helpers.  Members also carry out many of the routine maintenance jobs.
Our new pavilion was opened in May 2001.

Friendlies And Roll-Ups
We play around twenty friendly games against local clubs during the season. And we organise a number of weekend fun competitions within the club. Prospective members are welcome at our twice-weekly roll-ups – Tuesdays from 2.00pm until 5.00pm and Thursdays from 4.00pm until 6.00pm.

Social Events
These include club outings, short mat bowls in the winter, friendlies against Chawton Park Indoor Bowling Club, a skittles evening, coffee mornings and an annual quiz night.

Fundraising
Our main fundraising event is the Village Fayre, held on Spring Bank Holiday on the Recreation Ground.

Charity
We hold a biennial Charity Day. Recent beneficiaries have been the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice and Farnham Assist.
