Only two months to the green opening, weather permitting.
As the new season approaches quickly the club website has been updated in
readiness, so take a look now to see all the club activities for the year, as well as the regular Lotto Bingo results in the news section and much more.
Recent events have been a Friendly against CPIBC and the Village Competition both memorable for their high level of enjoyment.
Preparations for the new season have been progressing since the end of last
season.
Many hours have been devoted to improving the green and maintaining the
grounds
• a full programme of Friendly and external League matches has been scheduled
• a Bembridge Bowling Break organised
• documents updated
• the annual meeting held with Waverley representatives
• PAT testing of electrical equipment, fire extinguisher servicing and risk
assessments carried out
• preparations for the Pre-season registration on going
I may have missed something out but you get the picture – the behind-the-scenes efforts being made by numerous members to provide a full programme of playing and social opportunities for the season, and create the best possible environment for bowling.
There are however a few ‘situations vacant’ which need filling to ensure the
smooth running of the season. If you are not yet playing your part in contributing to the running of the club, please see the following list of jobs, then consider what your contribution will be. Some jobs could be shared.
Friday League co-ordinator
Housekeeping 1 or more members
Social events co-ordinating 1 or more members
First Aider training provided

Rink diary
For the 2025 season the club will be trialling an online booking system which will mean members won’t need to visit the club to book a rink or sign up for matches and events. You will be able to do this from the comfort of your home or when away, on your mobile or any device with an internet connection.
Check out the rink diary on the website https://www.rinkdiary.co.uk
