About Us

Our Members
The majority of our members live within a mile’s radius of the club, which sits at the corner of the Recreation ground in Rowledge.

Our Green
The green was opened in June 1937, when a match between teams consisting of members of the Rowledge Bowling Club, Farnham Ladies Club and Farnham UDC had to be abandoned because it was so wet. We pride ourselves in being self sufficient. Our four rinks are maintained by our hardworking green keeper and his team of helpers.  Members also carry out many of the routine maintenance jobs.
Our pavilion was opened in May 2001.

Friendlies And Roll-Ups
We play around twenty friendly games against local clubs during the season, and organise a number of weekend fun competitions within the club. We have  twice-weekly roll-ups: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 – 4 pm.

Social Events
These include club outings, short mat bowls in the winter, friendlies against Chawton Park Indoor Bowling Club, a skittles evening, a quiz night and an annual dinner.

Fundraising
The club raises funds at various events throughout the year, both to help towards the running of the club and to support selected charities.

Charity
We hold a biennial Charity Day. Recent beneficiaries have been the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice and Farnham Assist.
